We’ve been working behind the scenes every single day to unlock the next phase of this project—and we’re thrilled to report that we’ve just about done it. While we can’t share every logistical detail, we’ve secured a production and fulfillment path that is not only solid, but actually better for the future of this project and the Authentic Editions line.
This new approach strengthens not only Pre-Code Horror’s production, but also sets us up beautifully for Archie's fulfillment and the future releases to come.
It’s been a long time coming—and we can finally see the full road ahead. PHEW!
While we can’t yet announce the exact print and ship dates, we are actively working through the final production and logistics with our printer, locking in the final details. Within the next week or two, we expect to have:

• A finalized delivery timeline 📦
• And official confirmation on when books start moving toward your doorstep 👻

We know this has taken far longer than any of us expected or wanted, and we deeply apologize for the delays.
We went into this campaign with two years of R&D, relationships, and production pipelines in place. But creating something this special—this faithful to the original comics, and this meaningful to collectors—has taken more care, more effort, and more adaptation than we predicted.
Every single book is restored by hand, every page reviewed for obsessive detail, every piece of paper and packaging selected with care. We believe the results will speak for themselves the moment you hold them in your hands.
This is part publishing, part historical preservation, and part pure love for the medium. And you made it all possible.

Dear Backers,
When we launched this campaign, we fully believed we could deliver it on time—and that belief wasn’t blind optimism. We spent more than two years doing R&D, testing materials, working with printers, and lining up fulfillment and production partners before launching this Kickstarter. Every piece was in place—or so we thought.
As we moved from small-scale sample production to full-scale book restoration and printing, we hit a couple unexpected challenges.
• The method we developed worked beautifully for all our testing but we found that we needed further tweaking at scale to produce hundreds of books at the quality we demand.
• This meant restarting, re-imaging, and refining many of the books—sometimes multiple times.
• The good news? That process is now 100% solved. We’ve built an incredible team and workflow, and the results are even better than we imagined.
• Paper supply issues & import delays (including U.S.-Canada tariff concerns) have caused major slowdowns in getting our print run scheduled.
• Since our specialized paper stock is a key part of what makes these Authentic Editions unique, we can’t swap it out for an alternative.
• The waiting game has been painful, and we completely understand how frustrating it is for you. We feel it too.
We are working every day on a backup solution to bypass some of the delays.
• Without going into details we can’t yet share, we’re very close to securing a path forwardthat will allow us to move to print faster.
• This doesn’t mean printing starts tomorrow or next week—but we are getting close to locking down a production schedule.
• As soon as we have a confirmed print date, you will be the first to know.
We genuinely hate making you wait. While we can’t undo the delays, we can find ways to thank you for your patience—so we’re doing just that.
