Backer shipping begins: the following week in rolling waves. We’re batching orders to make sure each configuration (variants, posters, trading cards) go to the right backers.

📦 Collector Boxes: Final Finish & Ship Date

Boxes are in final production now.

Note: we dropped the debossing (to prevent cracking on soft-touch laminate), but kept emboss + silver treatments. The result still feels premium and deluxe—exactly what we were aiming for.

Logistics:

• Boxes ship from the printer: Tue, Sept 2
• Arrive at fulfillment (Bulu): by Fri, Sept 5
• Begin shipping to backers: the following week, rolling batches over ~2 weeks

🚚 Why Ship in Batches?

There are multiple configurations to get exactly right:

• Frightening 15 standard, Fluorescent, Silver Foil, Red Foil
• 48-Hour Backer Poster (only for eligible backers)
• Plus Trading Cards, Add Ons etc.

Kitting these correctly = staged waves so the right items go to the right backers.

Hello Backers! A big update today but first, a quick apology for the gap between updates. We’ve seen a few comments about cadence. What do you prefer going forward?

A) Faster, shorter check-ins (even if it’s “still moving, no change”)

B) Fewer updates with concrete dates/details

✅ The Good Stuff: Frightening 15 is all Printed

All Frightening 15 books are printed across every flavor:

• Authentic (standard) covers ✅ at our fulfillment partner (Bulu)
• Fluorescents ✅ at Bulu
• Silver Foils ✅ printed; routing to Bulu
• Red Foils 🖨️ printed and being bound now; ship from the printer by Fri, Aug 22 → expected to land at Bulu Tue/Wed, Aug 26–27

We’re sharing the first photos of the Red Foils above. They’re a touch more subtle than we initially expected but up close you can see great detail and tonal nuance - and given their tiny print runs, they’re going to be extremely rare and collectible. Silver Foil pics coming as soon as we have them in hand.

Slightly Delayed: 📦 Collector Boxes: What Changed & Why

Our box maker (they do top-tier packaging for major brands) confirmed we could run both emboss and deboss on the soft-touch laminated boxes. In late-stage production we discovered debossing was cracking the finish at the folds. After reviewing physical samples this week, we’re dropping the deboss to preserve quality.

✅ Keeping: Soft-touch finish, embossed elements and silver logo treatment. It looks and feels fantastic

❌ Dropping: Deboss (to avoid cracking / premature wear)

Boxes are already printed and are back in the finishing line for emboss. Current estimate: ship from the box printer/finisher ~Wed, Aug 27 → arrive at Bulu by Mon, Sept 1.

🚚 Fulfillment Flow & Dates (Best Current Info)

What’s happening now at Bulu:

• Bag & board all books (with the custom QR boards you saw in the Annual)
• Kit the correct combinations (posters, trading cards, 48-hour items, your selected variants)
• Box everything in the collector boxes once they land
• Ship to you

Timeline (subject to minor shipping/receiving variance):

• Red Foils arrive to Bulu: Aug 26–27
• Boxes arrive to Bulu: by Sept 1
• Shipping begins: First week of September (rolling waves)
• Deliveries: Late August/early September for some, mostly mid–late September depending on location and carrier processing

We know that puts us ~10–14 days behind our last estimate. Thank you for hanging in; we’re juggling the last moving pieces in real time.

Packaging note: we’re using a “Russian doll” approach—collector box → inner protector → outer shipper—to keep your collector sets pristine.
