Another quick update as we head into the weekend!
We’re still waiting on the paper delivery to begin printing, and we know the waiting is frustrating. In the meantime, we’re continuing to finalize every production detail to ensure that when the presses start rolling, the full collection is absolutely perfect.

📢 Pre-Code Horror Backer Update: Final Files, Surprises & STILL Waiting on Paper

Dear Backers,
A quick update for you as we head into the weekend!
Unfortunately, we still don’t have a confirmed paper delivery date for printing, but as soon as we get any news, we’ll let you know immediately. Everything else is moving smoothly—we’ve been finalizing all the stretch goals, trading cards, posters, and extras while also cooking up a special surprise that we hope will help make up for these frustrating delays. More on that soon!

We’re excited to show off a fully finished book!Chamber of Chills #19 has been through its last round of evaluation—cover stock, fine-tuning details, and minor tweaks are all locked in.

So, we’re waiting on paper—which is as agonizing for us as it is for you.
We’ve got big Authentic Editions plans for 2025, and while we’re holding back on announcements for now, we can’t wait to share more once these books are in your hands.

💀 Pre-Code Horror Fulfillment Update: Love, Paper, and the Printing Press 💀

Dear Backers,
Happy Valentine’s Day to all you ghouls, ghosts, and horror lovers out there! While we can’t quite deliver your Pre-Code Horror Authentic Editions as a romantic gift just yet, we’re here with an update on where we stand as we work tirelessly to get these terrifying treasures into your hands.
Roses are red, Violets are blue, Paper is delayed, But we’ll get these to you… (soon!)
Here’s the latest:
✅ What We Just Completed:
We finally received the final test prints on the exact paper stock that will be used for the full collection—and let us tell you…
They are STUNNING.
The quality is beyond what we hoped for. They look incredible, feel perfect, and even smell like vintage glory.
This is the product we dreamed of, and we cannot wait for you to experience it. We’re including a couple of photos here so you can get a sneak peek:
This is the high point—we’ve nailed the quality. Now we just need to get them made in volume.
🧛♂️ The Challenge We’re Facing:
Paper.
While everything else is ready, we’ve hit a delay in receiving the bulk order of paper we need to print the full run.
The paper is ordered, but we’re waiting for it to arrive at the printer, and until it does, we can’t schedule our time on press to print all the books.
We are actively pushing for updates every day, but unfortunately, we don’t yet have an exact date for when it will arrive.
We know this is frustrating—it is for us too—but we’re committed to delivering the highest quality books possible, and this paper is critical to recreating that vintage Golden Age feel.
🚀 What Comes Next:
We are exploring every possible option to speed things up once the paper arrives, including:
• Splitting the shipment into batches so we can get books into your hands as soon as they come off the press.
• Coordinating daily with our printer and fulfillment partner so we’re ready to move the second the paper hits the shop floor.
We promise to keep you informed every week—and we’ll share any changes or news the moment we know more.
Also, we’ll have another sneak peek for you next week, and while we’ve been holding back on revealing some very exciting 2025 Authentic Editions plans, we can’t wait to share more with you once these beauties are safely in your hands.

First and foremost—thank you for your patience, support, and excitement for this project! We know you’re eagerly awaiting your Pre-Code Horror Authentic Editions, and we want to share the latest updates as we continue working to bring these legendary comics into your hands.
📩 BackerKit Surveys – Final Call!
We’ve received 85% of BackerKit surveys, but some backers still haven’t completed theirs. If that’s you—please complete your survey ASAP so we can finalize everything for print and shipping.
We need these completed as soon as possible as we are preparing the final files to go to press at long last…
🖨️ Printing & Production Updates
We’ve hit a few unexpected delays with printing, including:
• Personal issues on our printer’s side that caused minor disruptions.
• Uncertainty around Diamond Distribution and potential tariff issues with our Canadian printer.
The good news is that most of this has now been resolved, and we’re moving forward with our printing and fulfillment partners to ensure pristine, high-quality reproductions.
Even better—we’re expecting a final print sample soon! We’ll share photos and details this week once it arrives so you can see the incredible quality for yourself.
📦 Shipping Timeline & Next Steps
We’re locking in a more precise shipping timeline over the next week or so, and we’ll provide another update once that’s confirmed.
We cannot apologize enough for these continued delays. We’ve encountered more challenges than expected—not that it’s an excuse—but we are determined to navigate through each one to ensure these books are the absolute best they can be before they arrive in your hands.
Your patience, enthusiasm, and support mean the world to us, and we are beyond grateful.
